Nurturing Nature for the Future
Welcome to Emerald Fusion.
With Your Help, We are Changing Nairobi One Tree at a Time!
As the green jungle fell, a grey one rose in its place, and then came climate change, new weather patterns, wind howling unhindered by trees along dusty streets, carbon polluted air, and an alarming daily increase of green-house gas levels in a once luscious Nairobi. But, with your help, one tree at a time, let’s restore Nairobi back to its emerald green glory

1.2%

2017 marked a period of 18 years during which Nairobi had lost 22% of its green cover to building and construction sites. This presents an alarming annual rate of 1.2% vegetation destruction by the built environment alone.

The 2020 Tree-cover Percentage Goal
As of 2020, the country was expected to have planted 1.8 billion trees to achieve a national goal of 10% tree coverage. And yet, as of 2020, tree cover in Kenya stood at a mere 6%.
8 million
Our Goal as of 2032.
Did you know that if you, and your neighbor, and every other inhabitant of Nairobi planted 2 trees in span of ten years we will very easily reach our goal. And the story these numbers tell is that of hope where a 1/4 of our construction related carbon is sunk into the 8 million trees!
